Tests for current impairment measure for active THC in the blood, and those levels typically drop within hours. - fine, I'm just saying, I drive better immediately after smoking, not 3 hours from there. I really wonder if any of these people making these assumptions have ever smoked pot (regularly). If it's your first few times, yeah, until you are used to the high feeling, it's probably best you don't drive and really the user is much better at making that decision high of pot anyway than drunk off alcohol. In my own experience with Marijuana I have found that I am much more alert, focused, and open to new knowledge and understandings when I am “high.” It CURES anxiety, not causes it. I'm much more aware and patient, making DRIVING easier. I begin to think in a much more sophisticated way, and I am constantly aware of my surroundings. I am sure that this is NOT how everyone reacts to the plant, but I have found that this is true for a majority of people that smoke. Stick your lies up your tail pipe, God love you.
Stupid people getting more stupid is because that's their personality that merely is enhanced when you smoke pot. If you are lazy into video games with or without the pot, smoking pot will really enhance the lazy video game playing, because smoking pot merely makes everything more fun, that's all pot does, makes you feel good to enjoy whatever it is that you do or have to do, like studying for school (helps you focus) or getting work done, responsibilities or relax from taking care of your responsibilities. STL Today: Drug overdoses suspected in two deaths in Belleville (Legalize and properly educate. Your lies about marijuana which kills no one doesn't help those who dare to try other drugs after you lie about pot, so why not others? More people have OD drinking too much water, should we ban that? Of course not, why? Because getting a high of pot rather than a sugar high or a sex high or impaired via alcohol or any other "distraction" like mindless TV programs doesn't dumb you down and make you stupid like they "claim" it does. Complete opposite - marijuana is a health item, It FREE's your mind (relieving stress or mental fatigue from critical thinking) or enhances brain cells making you smarter or helps you when thinking that leads to you being healthier / smarter, not dumbed down and obedient slaves. It doesn't make you docile like Fluoride does to encourage all of this compromising with "evil" or lies. Cannabis actually has medical benefits and the a very key resource helping the elite enslave humanity. Again, it's a prison for your mind. Mind Control which is the opposite of Freedom (1st Amendment, Freedom of Speech / Religion). You want Freedom? You must legalize nature - all of it. It's no different than the mind altering indoctrination camps we call an education system, TV mind control programming, lies, sex, entertainment, etc..Right, I'm tired of hearing "But it's a mind altering drug so we can't legalize pot". Mind altering? You mean the herb? Everything is mind altering, your lies are mind altering, the TV is mind altering (they program YOU), humans by nature are programmable, the department of education via the criminal feds is mind altering, the indoctrination camps we call public schools are mind altering, your sex highs are mind altering, your junk food is mind altering, sugar, caffeine, etc. Don't give me that mind altering BS, It's relaxation - mind altering. It's peace mind altering. Nobody seeks violence high off pot, damn it that is the answer to World Peace. Everyone smoke right now and you got it for 2 hours at least. Everyone benefits, including Big Pharma still, they just are not as richer, simple as that. It can save the middle class. Nature is God (mother nature) and you have God Given Rights. Only deaths due to marijuana is via the war on drugs, enforcing prohibition.
I wouldn’t say that it directly helps enhance the thinking and freeing your mind but more of it medicates the mind from the stress or tyranny one faces daily. It's hard or struggle to be so informed and among many others who either aren't or don't care to talk with you about it. It hurts the most when it's within your family & friends. For many of us, it’s hard on our brains to have such knowledge and nobody to share it with. You try to share knowledge with others around and you easily get the feeling that they don’t care for it, care to hear it, etc. It hurts and because it hurts people will seek relief or comfort (love) anywhere they can. What I desire the most always seems prohibited. I desire a woman first, though I can’t press it when they think I’m crazy as they are scared for their life as if I can't handle it or whatever, I'm prohibited from real healthcare since the system is inept offering nothing that actually makes you feel good so for me it’s just I’m weird, I’m weird most of the time as I'm always having to suppress my real personality of expressing love out in the world yet that isn't very favorable to this New World Order so really what people don’t see since I’m by myself a lot is having a different diet than most people or what's perceived as the Standard American Diet, I don't have most of the time, I don't always eat Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and with everyone all the time, I don't think we are robots and think we all have different lifestyles and energy requirements, just overall different lifestyle following certain topics like politics or government and others don’t. Most people I run into aren’t interested in the things I’m interested so there isn’t much to talk about with other people and I tend to get attracted or so inured into my interests of researching what is in the news and such whenever I’m free or bored, which seems I never am. I don’t like to be bored. I like to be busy and feel needed or desired, but I also like to be productive at the same time and not over consume or over spend putting myself in debt or slavery. This is why socialists exist, they want you to be social spending money you don't have. My government is robbing enough of it from me. I don’t want to hang out with people who don’t actually love me or respect me and care to destroy any future I could have. I don’t want to be a slave, live beyond my means, I like working hard but not for nothing or lower than what deserved and feel we all should properly be compensated for the amount of work you actually put in, have a accomplished and what everyone in society and the system has stated you are entitled to. I may not agree with certain "program" but I still fight for them to still work for us and get our benefits from them if we are entitled to them. It's others I guess who want to see it go bye bye. I mean we have got to turn this country around because everything just keeps spelling "wrong". Most do not have their priorities straight. They are distracted loving things that I feel isn't fulfilling like materialism or money. I tend to love things God creates first, seek to be self-sufficient or able to take care of myself, care about a roof over my head and food first, real security, family, friends and then if possible enjoy some things man creates or materialism. And yeah, I believe women or nature, particularly the cannabis plant are the two greatest creations of God (energy) and it’s a shame how our laws or system & immoral behavior (lies) destroys both.
Everything is really an “understanding” for humanity. And I feel that most people are never focused on what really matters or important issues that I feel are important and think others should too. Therefore they don’t really have clear understanding as to what is really going on in this world and you wonder how the hell does most people get by if they constantly reject reality and compromise with illogical thinking all the time. Do they experience bad luck at times like I do? I do get less or avoid it better when I’m “weird” of course following logic and being as smart as I can, it’s just whenever I try to have any fun at all and deserve too, I get hit with something that hurts. For me often, I feel kind of isolated and also like living in the Truman Show, as if many people act like they are asleep, but really I think are awake but don’t want to talk to me. I’m putting myself all out there and really that isn’t smart when you think about the real world we live in, yet I feel in my gut right now that it’s needed for some reason. I would say the more you understand things, the more smarter you are or on top of the game more than others, the more you desire something to relax your mind, you desiring being alone, sleep, eat, drink, whatever. And all I’m trying to do is help out humanity in that aspect, help our health, especially those who are good people (hard working class, the slaves who do all the work), all focus on nothing but doing well, is responsible taking care of themselves and not being a “useless” eater or over consuming and being out of control; these people should be rewarded more and not hit with bad luck as what is often. Some folks lost jobs and homes, others still have theirs but under water or robbed around 60k, just always more crap, cost of living getting worse and not better and it’s all sick, all manufactured scarcity, it’s oppression, it’s straight tyranny. America has cancer and only logical, truth, understanding, facing reality and getting spiritual (the spirit of God, Jesus, love, caring, faith), awakening, is going to have to hit people, a majority, in order to get it back. ) - 6.12.2012

But it cannot be criminal activity for one group of people and socially acceptable behavior for another when the dividing line is race. STL Today: Second St. Louis man charged in drug-deal murder (All for grass, for crying out loud End the War on Drugs and legalize them, at least marijuana. We don't throw alcoholics in jail which hurts the economy - slave labor. Let them have their drugs and then treat them. Find out why they desire it so much. I know that once you create an abundance of it, let them feel they will always have it; they won't need it as much. Plus you take the "cool" factor out of it and your kids have an easier time getting it when illegal. Plus some like marijuana is healthier than sugar and preferred over Ritalin or Lexapro or Depakote or Zoloft or Xanax or Ambien, etc. competition lowers the price of them all. Christ at his angriest.
When you legalize marijuana, not only does it come down in price, but so does everything else in the economy so even the dealer isn't dependent on needing higher income for other things because the overall economy & competition gets better (it's a currency competitor, gas, food, industrial, etc.), well the less laws or less prohibition of anything, the better the economy is. The only people who benefit off its illegalization are the bankers for our enslavement, mostly via the mind & stress, making you more dependent, not independent. Or anybody who doesn't love others will seek it’s prohibition, they can’t let go of their ego. You have a deficit problem, a high cost of living, what are you doing about that? Oh making it worse fighting marijuana or grass, a plant, nature, GOD. We are children that need to grow up. Either have to grow up, get educated or stop being evil. We need to learn responsibility.

Studies have shown that children with ADHD are more prone to depression. When the tenth graders were interviewed again in the eleventh grade, 15% reported symptoms of depression, such as feelings of hopelessness and sadness, loss of appetite, and trouble concentrating (all which marijuana can treat). The fact that using both MDMA and amphetamine increased depression risk more than using either drug alone suggests that the two drugs may interact in harmful ways, the authors note. Contrary to what Tony Bennett and other legalizers would like to think, legalization does not prevent the abuse and misuse of drugs. In fact, it accelerates it.” – for law abiding citizens. For others deemed criminal, that has gone up because we are WISE to consume something health such as marijuana, again – zero deaths! What are they going to do, ban more now? Soon you won’t have anything to help you! Perhaps a major reason why people try prescription drugs and "hard" drugs is because in their drug education classes they were told how "dangerous" marijuana was and though a "prescription" would be safer. And what about the thousands of people who have died at the hands of the Mexican cartels due to the prohibition of drugs? Just like "the mob" grew rich and powerful during the prohibition of alcohol, so too are dangerous cartels like the Zetas growing rich and powerful off the profits from the international cocaine, heroin, and marijuana trade.)

Mexico President Says U.S. Shares Blame for Drug Violence - Stop the demand? LOL yea that’s what the drug war is all about dip shit, stopping the demand, hows that working out? How about we decriminalize it and stop the demoralization of human beings. "The war on drugs is the war on pot heads as 85% of all drug arrests are for pot. I’m not worried that pot heads are going to do anything to anyone (they are peace loving people). It is your kind of ignorant thinking that keeps the drug war machine fueled. How about the government do there F king job and shut the criminal enterprise down known as Wells Fargo, B of A, Citi Corp, J.P. Morgan Chase to name a few who have been caught laundering the billions of dollars made by the Cartels that the CIA established. It’s a SCAM DUDE! WAKE UP! Then the banks make more money by loaning government the money to build the prisons. The banks own the industries that manufacture products for law enforcement and the military industrial complex! Its all theirs and it hinges on perpetual wars. Drug wars, oil wars, etc. They ALLOW sickos or criminals to rape, murder, steal, etc. (if caught, only 21 years) Locking up kids who smoke grass (a substance healthier than sugar) has become a big business for the bankers. And, the US Congress receives a CASH incentive for allowing it to be so, via their FPI dividend checks! Congress, not Progress are violating their OATH to defend our Healthcare rights! Congress is bribed." Clinton, Obama, Paul Ryan, Romney, Biden, Bush, Cheney, Rice, all on the same team, Rothschild Zionists. Todd Akin, Claire McCaskill, Lacy Clay, etc. all Rothschild Zionists, sell outs, lazy, just lie and take your money and vote whatever the corporation says, never following their oath, if you don't follow the oath, you are committing treason.
I’m sick of these bankers ruining our society so they can have cheap labor through the industrial prison complex, increased violence to try to pull gun control laws and keep substances that are actually safer to use then aspirin illegal so they have excuses to spy on everybody. It’s becoming more and more obvious even to blind sheep that our government is completely corrupt when it comes to the war on drugs because they don’t give a rats ass about children being exposed to harmful substances when they get sick from prescription drugs and bunk vaccinations. But we can’t legalize marijuana because children will think its ok to smoke (which it is!!! Even though I can understand the law being you must be 18 with an ID), it is if you’re an adult who uses responsible and can handle it without it affecting your daily life. It’s no different than someone having issues with gambling or porn. It’s not a chemical addiction where you need a fix, it’s an immediate high or relief, but it’s still a soft impact like the soft kill junk food. It’s similar to more a sugar high without the negative side effects. It wears off without a hangover or negative side effects.
‘Drug War’ Not Working So Well Thanks to Internet Video and Alternative Media- Illegalization of Cannabis is much more than just money. It’s more about mind control and keeping us enslaved, a prison for your mind which keeps humanity stupid and asleep which IS FUELING the overpopulation problem, hence why the elite have to now murder more of us through vaccines etc. marijuana merely relaxes you helping your health or wellbeing and the more you are healthier mentally, the more you are able to think for yourself, be more free seeking self-sufficient or independence, taking care of yourself and that is what the elite don’t want. The elite don’t’ care about working for themselves, they would rather have others do all the work for them and for them to own everything or have power or control over everything and everyone, that’s how sick these people are.
Cannabis is not a drug at all. In fact Cannabis is a natural green herb created by God and God put Cannabis in nature for his creations to use in healing and in the worship of God. Read your Bible for Cannabis is mentioned as a green herb. Cannabis is blessed and made holy by God and that is why the government and the Big Pharma companies don’t not want people using it because the government and the Big Pharma companies are run by Satanists who hates everything that is made holy by God. Weed (Cannabis) is very good in fact it is awesome and very Holy due to it being a creation by God and blessed by God to be used in the cure of diseases, sickness and in the worship of God. Cannabis is Holy and good while Big Pharma is unholy and evil. I refuse to shut up and I refuse to stop smoking this natural healing herb that nature created that has been used since the dawn of humanity. Now if you don’t mind I’m gonna smoke some Cannabis while giving the government and Big Pharma the finger. The government and Big Pharma can go fuck themselves. It’s about having the God Given Right to your own body and what natural things you can put it in. Personal Liberty. I believe all natural resources should be legal for people to do whatever they desire with in order to live. Consuming substances impacts that person body only and nobody else, therefore nobody's RIGHTS are being abused. Prohibition abuses people's healthcare rights.
It’s not the drug that is the problem needing prohibition enforced, it's education. Stop the LIES. Nobody has OD’d on pot which is even more reason to legalize and for the others, well. The OD’s tend to come from dirty drugs with varying potency. This would not be an issue if the drugs were legal and purchased in the over the counter drug section of your local grocery store.
If drugs were legal and sold on the market, you would get lawfully consistent drugs with clear and easy to follow instructions on the pack, along with clean instruments to use those drugs. Some think marijuana should be legal only and nothing more, whatever, just remember the more you enforce prohibition of anything, including the other drugs, the worse things are. The more you waste our tax paying money and last time I checked we have a deficit (enslavement), higher cost of living via gas prices and food, etc. problem. And that's all due to big government wasting our resources fighting something that is already a failure. So yea all you dealers who love drugs illegal for the profits, you morons don't get that it's high price you need is needed because everything else you desire in life is too expensive thanks to your drug lifestyle leading you to break the law even more and fight wars to survive, bunch of idiots. You can't actually have Freedom and Independence with prohibition on natural resources you have a god given right to under the 9th Amendment. Americans, know your freaking history. All drugs were once legal before the 1930's and crime and everything, cost of living, your happiness, etc.. was much better.

The biggest issue America faces and what empowers the bankers, is the war on drugs failure which needs to be ended and at least marijuana legalized.
The Killing Method –Yep, they will make us believe the Fed will be gone by just changing the name.

Alex Jones Radio: The Psychiatric Drugging of U.S. Soldiers – only benefits the bankers and the police and a huge waste of our taxpaying money resulting in a higher cost of living (healthcare, etc.). More people are addicted and have issues with prescription drugs than the recreational street drugs like marijuana, a substance healthier than sugar or nearly EVERYTHING legal.

Analysis (other information)
"I am God" people often say? - No you are a creation of God, a creature.
People for the war or illegalization of it may often say "I've seen how bad drugs are and think they should be illegal to keep away from my kids?" Okay so translation, you want to make it more available to your kids on a black market thinking the state can discipline everyone and you can't? You don't care to discipline your own child or yourself, so you want government to do that for you with my tax paying money? Ultimately, no matter how much control or security you think we should have, It's YOU that allows your child to watch TV, use the internet, go to a public school to hear about criminal activity or to be taken care of by criminals themselves, it's YOU that ultimately raise your child, regardless if the state has them the majority of the time. It starts with Education and your education isn't worth a damn thing if you don't stand for the Truth.
I believe we should legalize all drugs like it use to be in this country for over 100 years until the Fed (banking / drug cartel) took over, at least marijuana. Crime and addiction, everything was lower. Making it illegal is what creates the "cool" or rebelling perspective around it especially within entertainment, etc. Ending the War on Drugs doesn't legalize drugs. Bills would still need to be passed at the State level for that. So ending the war on drugs doesn't automatically legalize drugs, it just cuts the spending of the Fed or DEA fighting it and letting local police handle what they already handle via traffic stops, etc.
Ending this war is one of the Top 2 agenda’s towards Freedom in my opinion. Freedom of terrorism as well since Americans have no clue as to how linked they are. All drugs are merely chemicals or substances derived from the natural resources on this earth that all of us should have the freedom to decide whether or not we want to consume them for our own health. We own our bodies and should be able to treat it the way we see fit since it is we who "feels" our health. You want to seek information on something, what it is used for and try it to see if it works for you. You want options and the more options you have the more you create competition and competition will lower the price of everything. It's is big pharma or a few individuals (bankers who launder the drug money) who only benefit from the illegalization of certain drugs because when you prohibit the options of everyone by law, yet still allow it via a black market, you are "legally" shutting down the competition and by nature making the price of ALL drugs to go up, not just the ones you are making illegal. So while people may despise a certain drug and are happy that it is illegal like marijuana or heroin and don't help fight or support to make it legal for others if they wish, they don't realize all that is doing is now raising the price of their preferred drug. Once again it's like the Gestapo, nobody cares because it isn't their drug of choice but don't realize how it still indirectly impacts them.
Do you really want to know how hypocritical we are?
To the prohibition of a few drugs (mostly one in particular – cannabis) compared to the many crap ALL OF US consume daily, either conscious or subconsciously or via ignorance, or merely by simply being lied to, not knowing the truth, not even realizing that or do and refuse to correct it or simply SPEAK IT, speak the truth.
Humanity should want to promote critical thinking, questioning, making yourself smarter, helping you focus which can lead to being richer, more wealthier, better food, more food & better health (all free) & not be dumber which is what our leaders or our masters or the emperor of this corporation that enslaves us (this corrupt system), it’s their desire, what they want, for power – greed for power and are succeeding because WE THE PEOPLE – yes YOU Americans, YOU are supporting their agenda of dumbing you down, hurting your MEMORY, mostly of HISTORY so that we DO repeat it and currently doing as we speak and have done on many issues over and over again – to restrain your ability to have great relationships with friends and family, ability to obtain food & great health care, etc.
………which is why things seem very similar to 2000 years ago Roman Empire and we have not evolved one bit - but devolved and forgot what Jesus really did for us & stood for, along with our founding fathers with America & Freedom)……………..
…..All our (your) dumbing down / poor health or any other way to depopulate the earth, which is being done to us, rarely, if at all from illegal drugs and instead DOES happen with the majority YOU consume on a daily basis - their LEGAL DRUGS (anything junk food, processed & not whole foods, man made (not from nature = plants or animals as ONE ingridient - whole foods), diet style or not - all which always contains many horrible for your health ingredients such as: aspartame, splenda, msg (monosodium glutamate) or natural flavors, fluoride, - all many = all within all soda , fast food , pizza, desserts, OTC drugs, prescription drugs, drugs in our food like caffeine & all those other ingridients I stated earlier) etc. which all act NO DIFFERENT than illegal drugs like heroin & cocain (credible sources below), hurting your health physically & mentally that cannabis could never do.
I know more people in life who were straight A students, 4.0, awesome ACT scores, furthered education beyond high school to even PHD’s, doctors, lawyers, to be very successful individuals in life all by being a pothead (to which we assign negativity meaning to that term and only because we've believed the LIES, the brainwashing, the manipulation, the BS, the deceit, the deception, the fraud which hurts you, it's the oppression or evil upon us. I personally never had ever consumed cannabis while in school & never could reach a 4.0 during any semester. Doing so basically makes everything more fun, including studying or learning. I wish i would have smoked marijuana in college, my grades would have been better and probably would have pushed myself more.
There is no gateway drug, everything stands on it's own. As soon as you taste it and like something, you will want more of it, whether that "it" is:
- pizza or any food item
- pain medication
- materialism or money
whatever…. we all can be addicted to anything...
If you like it or love it, you will want more of it, getting you into trouble, possibly if abused. However, one should realize that abusing some things like marijuana or being intimate with your wife (commitment) after you take care of your responsibilities of course are the few things you can abuse and it doesn't really hurt you or impact you in a negative way. You can't overdose on it and it harm you like you can with certain foods, drinks and other medication (drugs) or pills you pop. Being with a loved one or smoking marijuana is the most spiritual, heavenly thing a person can do in life. If you "taste" something once and don't want it again, then you obviously didn't it like it all that much. The only prohibition should be done via your own self-discipline (self-choice, accompanied by education, truth), any other makes the situation worse. Such as.. Somebody else dictating to me what my choices should be. Why don't you stop trying to take care of me and let me decide what is best for me, okay?
Also, why do people always use marijuana as the gateway drug and not smoking cigarettes? Or Alcohol? Although many will just say that leads to harder liquor. I don't know why anybody thinks anything can lead to something else. If it's a gateway drug at all, that's due to we the people making it illegal and creating the gateway theory through belief, lying about it, lumping it in with other drugs as if they are all in the same class when they are not or simply allowing drug dealers to deal more than just marijuana, leading to other drugs. It's humanity that needs to be educated on what each drug does and what type of addiction can result, for instance smoking pot isn't physically addicting to where you "need" it to get your fix, if you it's not around or available, oh well. It's like someone saying no to you on having your favorite food that you are "craving". It's just a physocological craving or something to consider for relief like someone taking a pain killer or a tylenol. Regardless, humanity only seeks to consume something in order to feel good or relief pain or stress, it's for medical purposes. Smoking marijuana isn't really something that takes the place of another, it is something that can help accommodate, helping those who drink alcohol for instance, balancing them out. Making the drug illegal only enhances the availability of it via the black market, more for kids than adults. It isn't controlled. Everybody seems to not like Liberty and think we ought to have a lot of control, regulations, well it is out of control when illegal. We should legalize drugs and regulate them, prescribe them when they are truly needed.
Bill Explains Drugs perfectly and War on them – I like to take it a step further and compare the illegal drugs to not just alcohol but your crap diet (processed foods with a list of chemicals or ingredients which makes your food drugs) and pills you all pop!
By the way, they are untaxed drugs for the "user", but a tax on the Tax Payers to fight it. Federal government (corporation) gives it to your kids instead of a doctor prescribing it and we waste money / resources on law enforcement and DEA to fight the low level users. It's just more expensive for the and everyone else that doens't consume illegal drugs but the legal ones are kicking yourselves in the behind on that, especially by shutting down the competition making your healthcare / medication from the doctor more expensive. Are you happy with your ignorance / hatred? BTW, smoking pot is different than alcohol and it's really a supplement. I can handle drinking more with pot. Without it I tend not to drink as much. It's great for the next morning hangover. So Alcohol companies, get with the program.
And while everyone tries to prohibit real health (marijuana), don't want people seeking illegal drugs, we tend to believe the lies and advise us all to seek drugs or Toxins to combat natural human emotions people go through like anxiety or depression over something and labeling that as a “disorder”, needing medication. It's the opening of the door to the thought police or thought crime and this person is "mental". Most people who have a disease on the body just need to get it back into ease with proper nutrition which most doctors are illiterate on. Doctors get nothing but Drug pushers pushing them drugs to prescribe for whatever symptom you tell them.
All to control human behavior. It’s so mind control with our Health
The only way I can see something like marijuana being a gateway drug, isn't from the substance itself, but more from the lies told around it that it is bad for you and as dangerous as the others drugs it is lumped together with, when in reality it isn't and people then may think or wonder differently about other drugs that are also on the black market and chances are these drugs are pushed by the same drug dealer dealing marijuana. It's we and the war on drugs that makes marijuana a gateway drug, it's your ignorant belief and creating it with prohibition.
See, we don't think something that we eat or drink can be a drug, when in reality that is the way we mostly consume our drugs. I watch so many people sit there and just eat certain foods, some taste great to them and others don't and they just gravitate to whatever taste good to them and have no idea as the difference between protein, fats or carbs or sugar or any other ingredients that might be in it or how it was even prepared. Most people don't eat the whole food of an apple or tomato (one ingredient) but instead processed foods, with tons of ingredients, yet can't imagine what they do to you? People sit and wonder why they feel the way they do sometimes, wonder what is wrong with their health, yet NEVER seek to research or learn what the food they eat is made of or what their diet is doing to them and quite frankly, I believe nobody cares, especially when you try to enlighten them on it. And you aren’t really trying to enlighten them to keep them from doing it, but to defend yourself from them shoving it down your throat when you try to refuse it. Many don't want to ever hear that their favorite food or drink is bad for them or is a drug. One of the biggest things we live in denial on.
Your health is simple, it's the food you eat that determines how you feel over the next day or so. The food (drugs) you eat may cause side effects themselves like taking what you think "medication". You feel these issues arise or side effects and think you medicine or more drugs to combat your problem, it's a vicious cycle when you blindly listen to somebody else instead of educating yourself and listening to your own body and really trying to take care of it.
Outside of what you look like, shape, how tall you are, etc. with your health, it's not really genetics directly, it's lifestyle and many genetically in the family or the influence from your friends tend to follow the same lifestyle ways, same diet. You tend to follow the same decisions, consuming the same food choices (drugs). The genetics is the difference in how something impacts someone over the other. To me sugar & whatever else that it's mixed with in what you eat (or whatever drugs you are also taking); it may mess with my allergies and digestion, etc. whereas to you or with my dad it is giving him gout or arthritis.
Heroin and cocaine could both be found on pharmacy shelves prior to prohibition, and there was hardly a “drug epidemic” back in those days.
Illegal drugs only became a major problem during the early drug war, when Harry Anslinger, his posse, and successors released massive amounts of anti-drug ads on television, labeling them as “narcotics”, and linking them directly with youth delinquency. They basically ‘marketed’ drugs under the “narcotics” label, via reverse-psychology tactics, to the youth and poor sectors of society. When you tell someone that they are FORBIDDEN to do something (especially children and young people), it generally sparks their curiosity, and they want to try it out for themselves.
Watch some of the early anti-marijuana videos released during that time. They are replete with audacious lies to the n’th degree, and even going as far as to declare that “marijuana addicts will inevitably turn into violent murderers”, which is completely bogus. Check out the anti-marijuana video “reefer madness”, its so REDICULOUS that it’s actually pretty funny.
After trying marijuana, a person would realize that the government and media had been lying to them, finding out for themselves that marijuana is NOT addictive, does NOT make a person act violently, but conversely, in most cases, and has a strong calming effect. From here, an un-informed person might assume that the government is lying to them about all of the other drugs as well, and will go on to try harder drugs like cocaine or heroin, eventually becoming addicted.
If someone wants to get addicted to heroin, cocaine, or crystal meth, then they should be allowed to do so. It’s their life, and their body. When they get violent or begin to steal from people, then THAT’S when they should be arrested and brought before a judge, just like we do with alcoholics. Alcoholics aren’t criminalized for being alcoholics, and neither should drug addicts.
We don’t send alcoholics, nicotine or caffeine addicts to jail, and nicotine in particular happens to be THE most addictive substance in our society. Studies show that nicotine may be even more addictive than heroin. Also, what about people who are addicted to prescription drugs? Prescription drugs tend to be even more addictive and harmful to the individual than a lot of the illegal substances, but we don’t send those people to jail either.
Again, why does our military protect the opium fields over in Afghanistan, while the FBI arrests citizens at home for owning a single marijuana plant?
