Point of Elections?

I guess it depends on what you think the problem(s) are..... 

It seems that this is where part of the divide seems to comes into play. Most look at a candidate on one issue, maybe two....... We have 4 candidates in this game right now. It seems pretty obvious that we are pretty divided on what we each think the problems are.

When I hear, along with many others, the established Republicans say "we all need to work together" it translates into "do what we think is best." I fail to see how any of the other three candidates come close to representing what the party stands for on paper. Smaller government, less taxes???? Have I completely misunderstood the party?

Ron Paul is the clear choice for the Republican party. He's pro life, he just doesn't think the Federal government should be involved, and he is right. I will say, this is a very touchy subject, but if was up to the states it might be more manageable. States decide on how to handle murder, so where is the difference? I'm sure this topic will drive some more discussion, and that is ok, or at least it should be.......  He believes in God, he just doesn't use that for political gain. He thinks we should do away with the Department of Education, and he's right.!! That's just one of the programs that would save a butt load of wasted tax payer money. He thinks we should do away with the IRS, and he's right. We are taxed like crazy! There should be no income tax, period. No IRS, think that might save some money?? He thinks we should do away with our central bank called the Federal Reserve and he's right! That is way to much centralized power that allows a select few to call the shots. Our founding father new it, but we for some reason forgot their warnings..... He thinks we should get out of all these undeclared wars, and stop nation building, and he's right! If things are that out of control we need to declarewar, get in and get out. Think that would save some money, and lives, maybe...?? He thinks we should stop giving foreign aid to corrupt governments, and he's right! All that does is make Americans look bad, perhaps this is part of why so many other regular people (meaning not the government)  in other nations hate Americans??? Blowback?? You know I could go on and on. Those who now see what part of the problems are, and why we are in the mess we are in should get it so I will not continue, I could though believe me ;-) 

I'm extremely disappointed  and ashamed in the GOP for it's actions all across the nation. I realize that some ran a fair caucus, that not all the established republicans are corrupted, probably partly because some Paul people got in some of those positions last time.....   There is video after video that documents the corruption, we even witnessed it first hand here in St. Charles, and St. Charles wasn't the only one......We are going to get Obama again because the established Republicans refused to back Ron Paul, plain and simple. When that time comes, guess who will get blamed. Those crazy Ron Paul people, mark my words. 

Ron Paul has been the loan voice for a long time now warning us what would be coming down the pipe if we didn't start holding ourselves, and our politicians accountable. The establishment, those in power, have tried to paint him as a crazy person, and those who believe in his message to be crazy, granted some of us are ;-) but you are going to get that in any group. The bigger the group, the more crazy people you get, and look how freaking big our government is!! Just some food for thought.
